Letters to Aleppo

Where is Syria?

Have you heard of the city of Aleppo?

Do you know what is happening now in Syria?

Look how Aleppo is  now:

Questions on the video:

1. What does the video show?
2. When did the war start in Aleppo?
3. How many people have left Aleppo?
4. What percentage of Eastern Aleppo has been destroyed?

THE PROJECT

An English teacher, Abdulkafi Al-Hamid, had the idea of

exchanging letters with students in Europe so that boys and girls from Aleppo could feel that they are not alone.

The other day he wrote this watsap:

”what I understand from the silence of the international community is that what they fear the most is the freedom for which the people fight. The international community is trying to give a lesson to other opressed peoples in the world so that they don't strive for freedom"

Here there is an interview to the teacher:

Here are the letters

Joudi, 11 years old

Abduljalid 13 years old

Nawal, 13 years old

Fatema, 13 years old

Najah, 12 years old
